Description

This limpet has a simple shape combined with gorgeous surface texture and patterning. Limpets are found everywhere in Cornwall, but this is from Priest’s Cove in Cape Cornwall. The necklace is finely made from high quality sterling silver with a fine sterling silver 18 inch chain.

Price includes free P&P within the UK, plus gift wrapping, packed in a padded envelope and posted First Class.

One of only two capes in the UK, Cape Cornwall is a distinctive headland which juts out into the ocean where two great bodies of water meet. The popular rocky beach at Priest Cove has a small, man-made tidal pool. Priest’s Cove looks out towards the Brisons, two offshore rocks located one mile southwest of Cape Cornwall, where an annual swim from the Brisons to Priest’s Cove takes place. Pottery found on the Cape have been dated to the Late Bronze Age, and the presence of a cliff castle at nearby Kenidjack may indicate that the area was important in the Iron Age.
